Of course, CBD does not cause a high. Thus, feeling after CBD is nothing like one experiences after smoking marijuana or even after a glass of wine. That is why it is legal to drive for those using CBD. Nonetheless, it is worth understanding that it is only about CBD and not other cannabinoids. However, CBD still causes some changes in sensation.
Well, it depends on many factors. If you take a few drops of CBD oil and limit your dosage to less than 10 mg a day, as the FSA recommends, chances are slim that you would feel anything immediately.[1]
However, for those who have never used CBD or have prolonged CBD use, one is quite likely to experience a mild relaxing effect. Many may also experience an increased urge to sleep. Although these effects are mild, nonetheless, they are there.
As already described, it will reduce anxiety and help calm the nerves. Many people describe this as a mild, pleasant, and relaxing experience.[2]
One is more likely to experience these effects when using CBD oil or CBD vapes. However, one is less likely to experience these effects after consuming CBD edibles like gummies. This is because sublingual CBD or vapes act quite quickly.
The final effect would significantly depend on the dosage and the person’s experience with CBD. First-time users are more likely to experience this relaxing effect than experienced users.
Another important factor is whether one is using CBD-isolate or full-spectrum CBD. Full-spectrum CBD is much more potent due to “the entourage effect.” Moreover, full-spectrum CBD contains THC in minute amounts, along with minor cannabinoids. This ultimately results in more potent action.
Therefore, if CBD isolate does not help alleviate stress and anxiety, it is good to consider full-spectrum CBD oil.
Well, one might or might not know. Many experienced users may not experience much after using CBD. Moreover, it is worth understanding that CBD causes mild relaxation, which cannot be described as “CBD hits.”
However, CBD naïve individuals might experience something that may resemble a hit. In most cases, it would occur quite quickly, usually in a few seconds or minutes in the case sublingual use of CBD oil. However, one is not likely to experience anything as stark as a hit when using gummies or CBD edibles.
So, CBD will not give you a high. Of course, one may experience CBD hits when starting to use CBD, especially when using it for the first time, at a higher dosage, or full-spectrum CBD. Much also depends on the way one consumes CBD. Thus, CBD oil is used sublingually, and CBD vapes are the two most efficient ways to enjoy CBD’s health effects. However, gummies act much more slowly and also suffer from relatively lower bioavailability.
Finally, keep in mind that CBD does not cause high like marijuana or high CBD vs THC products. It only causes a mild relaxing effect, which is enough to reduce stress and enhance sleep quality.
