CBD Distillate for Vape

There is no doubt that the purer the product, the better it is. However, when we talk about natural ingredients, isolated and pure ingredients often lack the potency of whole plant extract rich in various bioactive compounds. This is because, in plants, there is one active ingredient and many other organic compounds that potentiate its action.

Researchers have long seen that isolating and using one compound for health is not as effective as expected. Thus, CBD isolate, which mainly contains CBD, is good and safe but less potent than other full-spectrum CBD extract. Thus, people must know, “Is CBD safe for heart patients?

Full-spectrum CBD extract contains other minor cannabinoids and terpenes, resulting in a potent entourage effect and much greater health effects.[1]

However, full-spectrum CBD has one significant drawback, and that is its content of THC. Many individuals would like to use THC-free CBD, but they want something that is still very close to full-spectrum in potency. This is where CBD distillate for vape comes into play. It has some of the properties of full-spectrum CBD minus THC.

Manufacturers use various methods to extract CBD from hemp plants, like supercritical CO2 or using hydrocarbon gases as solvents. However, the end product of this extraction is very crude CBD that is brownish in colour and contains many impurities.

Therefore, the next step in CBD extraction is purification, which often uses distillation. Of course, there are many distillation techniques that ensure that only specific compounds, like chlorophyll, tar, and even THC, are removed from the crude CBD extract. Of course, eliminating various fractions from this crude CBD extract is both a science and an art.

Distillation also considerably boosts the CBD content of the product. Thus, CBD distillate, as a rule, contains 70-80% CBD. It is less pure than isolate and hence retains some minor cannabinoids. Though it is very close to CBD-isolate, it still displays an entourage effect. Manufacturers often add distillate to other CBD products to boost their potency.

Unlike full-spectrum, CBD distillate is safe and good for those who cannot use THC for various reasons, like sportspeople.

Of course, the broad spectrum is something very close to CBD distillate, and thus creating confusion. However, there is a difference between the two. CBD distillate mostly serves as a raw material that has to be diluted in some way before use, as it is very high in CBD content. One can use CBD distillate to create broad-spectrum CBD products or add it to full-spectrum CBD vapes to boost their potency.

Generally, in the CBD industry, CBD distillate is used to describe any CBD product that retains the most beneficial compounds from the plant, and that is exceptionally high in CBD.

The Bottom Line

There are many kinds of CBD vapes, such as those containing CBD isolate and broad and full spectrum vapes. CBD distillate is high in CBD and yet has many other minor cannabinoids. Thus, distillate is good for producing broad-spectrum CBD vapes or adding to full-spectrum CBD vapes to boost their potency. There are many vape pens that use CBD distillate for vapes. But, do vapes smell?
