CBD pen is just like any other electronic device, prone to some issues. Nevertheless, it is a pretty simple device compared to, let us say, a mobile phone. It mainly has a charger, battery, charging cable, and heating element. Thus, there are very few things to break down. Hence, understanding why your CBD pen is not working after charging is relatively easy.
Cause: In our experience with testing multiple vape pens and feedback from customers, the primary reason a CBD pen might not work after charging is because of a defective charger or charging cable. Even if the cable or power source charges other devices it may not necessarily work with your vape pen. We have seen this first hand with USB type C chargers, working on iPad's, macbooks, Android phones but not on a bluetooth speaker and not on a vape pen.
Solution: Try a different charger or cable to see if the pen responds. Also, check for any visible damage or debris in the charging port.
Cause: Vape pens, like other electronic devices, have a risk of overcharging. Keeping your pen on the charger longer than necessary can damage the battery.
Solution: Always monitor your device while charging and unplug it as soon as it is fully charged.
Cause: Sometimes, the problem is as simple as the battery not properly connecting with the rest of the pen. Residue from the CBD oil or dirt can accumulate on the connections, preventing the circuit from completing.
Solution: Clean the connections regularly.
Cause: The coil is the part of the vape pen that heats up to vaporize the CBD oil. These coils can wear out or burn out with regular use, rendering the pen unusable.
Solution: If your pen has a replaceable coil, consider changing it. Else, you would need to buy a new one.
Cause: Like any rechargeable battery, the one in your CBD pen has a limited lifespan. With repeated charge and discharge cycles, it might no longer hold a charge effectively or might fail.
Solution: Replace the battery or buy a new vape pen.
