Millions of people vape globally, and thus, it is valid to ask, “Does vaping CBD work?.” Yes, it works, and it is one of the healthier forms of vaping. It is much safer than smoking cigarettes. Of course, any vaping may cause some harm to lung tissues, but if enjoyed responsibly, harm would be minimal, and one can enjoy the health effects of CBD.
Vaping is quite different to smoking as it does not produce smoke. Instead, it produces vapours or vapour clouds. This is because vaping liquids are heated at much lower temperatures. They mainly contain propylene glycol (PG) and vegetable glycerine (VG) that produce vape clouds.[1,2]
CBD vaping is different from regular vaping or nicotine vaping. This is because people vape CBD not just for recreation but also for specific health effects. For example, it is no secret that CBD helps relax, lower anxiety, help sleep better, and may even help those living with chronic pain. Of course, CBD vapes are not meant to treat or cure health conditions. Nonetheless, one cannot negate that vaping CBD works and has some beneficial health effects.
So, do CBD vape work? When people ask this question, they essentially want to know if vaping can help overcome stress and anxiety and improve sleep. There is some sound reason to believe that vaping works, and in some instances, even better than CBD oils.
Studies show that CBD when ingested, does not have good bioavailability. This is the reason why CBD oils are also taken sub-lingually. However, studies suggest that inhaling CBD is one of the superior ways of enjoying its health effects.[3]
Inhaling CBD, like through vaping, not only ensures high bioavailability but also has an almost instant effect. So, CBD starts working quickly when inhaled. Therefore, it would be correct to say that CBD vaping is especially good for reducing acute bouts of anxiety and overcoming mental stress.
This is not to say that CBD vaping is the best way to enjoy the health benefits of CBD, but it is one of the good ways to experience CBD’s health effects. Of course, vaping has some downsides, like it causes lung inflammation and some other issues. Nonetheless, it would be unwise to say that CBD does not have beneficial health effects. So, yes, CBD works, and vaping may also have some benefits.
