What Is THCO and Is it Safe?

THC vape or THC vape juice produces a buzz or high. Disposable CBD vape pens UK do not. That doesn't mean that a CBD vape pen might not alter your state of being which some people consider a buzz or high. Do you know, what is CBD oil?

Legalities surrounding cannabis laws in most places strictly prohibit THC and THC vape products including the UK. Because of this, many of the cannabis products sold in stores and online come from a type of cannabis called industrial hemp. You might like to understand about how does CBD work in the body?

This has people looking to other sources such as Delta 8 THC, and products that contain things like THC-O. But remember, these are still illegal in the UK. In some places like parts of the US, Canada and Europe you may find these compounds to be legal.

But just what is THC-O? What does it do, is it safe, where does it come from? These are the kind of questions that people have about these new cannabinoids popping up that seem to be very familiar. Are they the same as THC or is there a difference?

What is THC-O?

THC-O Acetate is a chemically created substance believed to be as much as 3 times stronger than THC. Unlike delta 8, 9, or 10 THC, THC-O is not found in cannabis, not even in small or minuscule amounts.

THC-O is created by using industrial hemp and converting it into delta-8 or delta-9 THC before introducing either of these to a chemical solution. Acetone solvents such as acetic anhydride and/or high-proof alcohol are some of the chemicals used in the process.

The process can be done professionally, or it can be done poorly. When it is the latter of the two it puts consumers at risk. If you are buying or plan on buying THC-O products make sure the product you buy comes with independent third-party certified lab test results. This means staying away from shady alley deals and most certainly not buying THC-O products from strangers on the street is a pretty good idea.

Will THC-O Produce a Buzz?

THC-O is very intoxicating and can produce a buzz like THC only stronger. According to Discovery Magazine, consumers have dubbed THC-O, "the psychedelic cannabinoid.” THC-O is believed to be so strong that some people report experiencing hallucinations.

Did they take too much? Was it an interaction with a medicine they take? Did they have a low tolerance? Was the THC-O product produced in a poor manner? There’s no way to know the answer to these questions. Testing can help ensure the product was made to a certain standard but beyond that, it’s up to you to learn how THC-O treats you.

Start out low and slow. Consume small amounts allowing ample time for the CBD vape side effects to kick in. This could be on average between 30 mins to 2 hours. Most people report feeling results quickly from vaping whereas a product like a THC-O gummie will take time to go through your system before it kicks in.

Is THCO Legal?

No. It is illegal in the UK. Every THC variant is considered a controlled substance under UK law.

However, one may find it to be legal in parts of the US, Canada and even Europe. This is because THC-O is derived from hemp which is legal in most places. Always check the laws where you live before buying any cannabis derived product. This could help you avoid unwanted consequences. Because THC-O is legal in palces outside of the UK, you will find it in a wide array of cannabis products sold outside of the UK. Products like cannabis vape pens, oral oils, gummies, and more.
